KMLabs is well known for the design and manufacturing of ultrafast lasers. An important quantity in this process is the dispersion of the optical elements. Since no proper measurement device was available on the market KMLabs developed a white-light interferometer to measure the dispersion.
The Chromatis is the first and only device developed specifically for the measurement of the group-delay dispersion (GDD) in optical components. It is a braodband, optical device for the precise and fast measurement of the dispersive properties of optical components and coatings. The exact knowledge and compensation of dispersion is crucial for the design of ultrafast systems, multi layer mirror and multiple quantum-well structures. The Chromatis is user-friendly, self-calibrating and very precise.
